Two more people have been arrested related to a robbery at London's Heathrow Airport where 21 people sustained injuries by what is thought to be pepper spray, according to police.

A man, 24, was arrested in the Lambeth area for suspected robbery and assault and a 23-year-old woman was arrested for suspected conspiring to commit a robbery. Both individuals remain in custody, the force said.

The arrests come after a probe into an attack at the multi-level parking garage at Heathrow's Terminal 3 this past Sunday. Before the incident, two women were robbed of their luggage upon exiting a parking garage elevator.

A toddler aged three was among the injured in the event. Five people were taken to the hospital for treatment and were later discharged.

Police detained a 31-year-old man on suspicion of robbery and assault near the location. He was subsequently released under investigation while inquiries continue.

Authorities were alerted at about 08:10 GMT following reports of a number of individuals hurt by a noxious substance thought to be an irritant spray.

The assault - an event that police said was a standalone incident and not being treated as an act of terror - resulted in train delays and the temporary shutdown of the Central Terminal Area tunnel and the T3 parking facility for a short time.
